Hi, I'm Jess!

I grew up in Utah, raised by a mom who was a labor and delivery nurse, pediatric nurse, and later a nursing professor. Birth was never a taboo topic in our home. When I became an aunt at 15, I fell in love with newborns, and that early bond sparked a lifelong fascination with pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
In college, as friends began having babies, I found myself constantly asking about their experiences and discussing labor and delivery with my mom. I graduated in 2018 with a degree in Computer Science and moved to the Bay Area for a tech job, but quickly realized it wasn’t fulfilling. That same year, my sister gave birth, and I was honored to be in the room for my nephew’s arrival. Supporting her during labor and in the weeks after opened my eyes to the power of loving, knowledgeable postpartum care—and to how easily birth can become traumatic without the right support.
Over time, I saw many friends in the Bay Area face birth and postpartum without the built-in family networks I’d grown up around. Isolation, lack of guidance, and limited advocacy often left them struggling with trauma, anxiety, or depression. I recognized how lucky I’d been to have my mom’s presence in those moments—and how deeply I wanted to be that grounding, supportive presence for others.
I’m queer, and I’m especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ folks, chosen families, solo parents, and anyone navigating birth without the support they deserve. My goal is to provide affirming, identity-conscious care that centers your values, vision, and unique family structure.
That’s why I became a doula—to walk with you through birth and postpartum, offering emotional, physical, and informational support so you feel seen, heard, and empowered every step of the way.
